Annual Investment Conference 2021
March 30 @ 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm
Investors could be forgiven for a sense of bewilderment after a whirlwind 2020. When the pandemic battered global markets, some commentators feared the impacts could be more devastating than the global financial crash – but the bounceback has been nothing short of remarkable.
However, early in 2021, so many uncertainties remain in the new abnormal, as investors seek to steer a course through uncharted waters. The uncertainties, opportunities and challenges ahead – in the short, medium and long-term – will be addressed by a panel of three experts.
Zehrid Osmani, Portfolio Manager, Martin Currie Global Portfolio Trust, will address why it is so vital to remember the fundamentals of investing, whatever the scale of the challenges thrown at us.
David Coombs, Head of Multi-Asset Investments, Rathbones, looks specifically at the healthcare sector, which has come to the fore in the past year in terms of our pandemic response. He will talk about Fiscal tightening, waistband loosening: what next for investing in the healthcare sector?
They will be joined by Iona Bain of Young Money, who examines what is driving the millennial investment boom, the dangers of the investing internet and how millennials might shape future trends.
